What’s New in v332
Firmware version 332 (v332) and factory template 8600A/B/C_FAC_V3.3.2.0.0 for the PowerLogic ION8600 meter adds enhanced Global Positioning System (GPS) time synchronization functionality.

New features in v332

*New Use GPS Quality Flag setup register in the Clock module allows the meter to accept GPS time syncs even when the GPS is not consistently locked to a satellite source.

Features of v330 firmware (included in v332):
  • Modbus Master up to ten Modbus slave devices via TCP/IP and up to 64 serial Modbus slaves via two RS‐485 serial ports.
  • MV‐90 P‐File data format is now supported.
  • Power Quality Event Logging is turned off by default for more efficient download of revenue data.
  • Scaled operational values are enabled for revenue‐locked meters.
  • The meter’s MAC (Media Access Control) address is now displayed on the front panel Network Setup screen and in ION Setup.
  • Time Sync Source can now be set to specify a particular Ethernet protocol to control meter clock time synchronization with your TCP/IP network.  Protocols include Ethernet (all masters), DNP, Modbus or ION.
  • Modbus read functionality has been improved with the addition of the Modbus Master Device and Modbus Master Map modules.
  • Loss of Potential can be detected and logged in the Event Log for MV‐90 ERCOT compliance.
