The ECC21 version 6.0 firmware update includes better broadcast/multicast storm resiliency, auto negotiation improvements, serial communications support for Odd parity, and the ability to communicate with ModbusTCP/IP protocol over nonstandard MTU sized Ethernet networks. To properly update your ECC21: 

1. Transfer the version 6.0 firmware file (ecc06000.bin) to your Computer. 

2. Use FTP to copy the "ecc06000.bin" file from your Computer to the ECC21 (once the file transfer is complete, the ECC21 will automatically reboot). Refer to the ECC Users Guide if you need more information. 

3. Allow the ECC21 to reboot after the file transfer and browse the ECC21 to confirm v6.0 is displayed.
