Firmware version 312 for the ION 8600 supports the identical features of its predecessors, the ION 8300, ION 8400 and ION 8500 meters. DNP protocol enhancements, including:
- DNP over Ethernet support.
- Multi-port DNP support ( up to three simultaneous connections in any combination of serial and Ethernet).
IRIG-B* functionality:
- All IRIG-B equipped meters are configured in the factory to synchronize via GPS using unmodulated IRIG-B time code data.
- *This requires a receiver capable of unmodulated IRIG-B time code output (not included).
