- This Service Pack is intended for use with ION Enterprise 4.5 only. It should not be applied to other versions of ION Enterprise. The Service Pack must be applied to all machines in an ION Enterprise 4.5 network -- primary, secondary and client machines.
- All ION Enterprise services and the IIS Admin service and its dependent services will be shut down before files are updated. Services will be restarted when the Service Pack 3 Installer has finished. Please note that Service Packs are cumulative, so Service Pack 3 includes all changes contained in Service Packs 1 and 2.
- To install, double-click on the file 'IONE45SP3.exe' and follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service Pack.
Service Pack 3 also includes the following SP 1&2 changes:
- Makes it possible to associate an Ethernet gateway site with a 3rd party gateway device in the Management Console.
- The VIP Launching module contains a new set-up register that allows users to determine whether the launched process should interact with the desktop.
- The PMLCrypto component encrypts Advanced Security passwords so they are compatible across operating systems.
