January 2008 IMPORTANT: You must have ION Enterprise 5.6 already installed on your machine before attempting to install Service Pack 1 (SP1). 

Note on Service Packs: ION Enterprise Service Packs must be applied to all machines in your ION Enterprise network, including all primary, secondary, client machines, and database servers, for the improvements to be effective.

Features

Service Pack 1 adds support for the following new devices:

• PM200 Series PM210 (available with PowerLogic High Density Metering Enclosures)
• PM800 Series PM820 PM850 PM870
• Micrologic Trip Units Type A Type P Type H
• CM3000 and CM4000 Series CM3000 series and CM4000 series is available to a level comparable to the PM870. A number of those meter?s advanced features are not supported.

Support implies:

• Mapping of all relevant device measurements into ION Enterprise
• A set of default Vista diagrams for each device type
• The ability to use default Reporter reports with these new devices

Important note: ION Enterprise can not be used to configure or to upgrade firmware for any of these devices. Management Console/MDI:

Only a single device type will be created for custom modbus devices. The need for modTCP/modRTU variants has been removed.

If a device does not support direct Ethernet connection, i.e. does not have some kind of Ethernet communcations card, it cannot be added as an Ethernet device in the Devices pane in the Management Console. The user must first create gateway site and add a serial device to the gateway.

The PM710/750 device types have been removed and replaced with the PM700 Series device type.

The -1 (unlimited) option in the Advanced Property 'Connect Attempts' has been removed.

Default ReceiveTimeout setting for serial devices attached to Ethernet gateway sites has been increased from 1.8 to 10 seconds Reporter:

A new field called 'CorrelationInterval' has been added to the PQ Report template sheet. This allows correlation between waveforms and PQ events with timestamps that differ by more than the .5 second default.

VIP:

Data Monitor module now operates correctly ? i.e. returns actual device update rate, rather than ION Services update rate

Corrected high CPU use for VIPs that include large numbers of Periodic Timer modules Vista:

Corrected problem where the Global Event Viewer would stop updating once 1000 new records had been received. At this point, the caption would change to 'Too many records. Please requery.' The number of records allowed into the GEV has been increased to 5000, and is configurable via a registry setting called VistaMaxGEVRows that must be added by the user.

Corrected the problem where the Log View plotter could not graph if the regional settings used a.m./p.m. as part of the time string

Corrected the problem where the Global Event Viewer could lock the Source table and thus prevent the Log Inserter from accessing the database
