PM800 series firmware

Series 800 Power Meter Firmware Released

The history pdf file shows a summary of changes incorporated in each production firmware release for the Series 800 Power Meter.  This is the latest revision of the firmware for the Power Meter Series 800.  For full compatibility with all available hardware options, the RS, DL, and the OS portions of the firmware need to be updated.

1. Using DLF 3000, download RS to the device
2. Download DL
3. Download OS
4. After the download is completed, you will see the meter resetting.
5. You can verify the new firmware version selecting MAINT -> DIAG -> METER from the main menu.

Note that if you are upgrading a meter that has firmware older than v10.410 and you are adding a remote display, the firmware download must use the standard communication port (2-wire RS485).

    This is the latest revision of the firmware for the Power Meter Series 800. For full compatibility with all available hardware options, the RS, DL, and the OS portions of the firmware need to be updated.
     
    Note: If RS and DL version are up to date, it is only necessary to update the OS firmware.
    1. Using DLF 3000, download RS 10.700 to the device
    2. Download DL 10.700
    3. Download OS 11.800
    4. After the download is completed, you will see the meter resetting.
    5. You can verify the new firmware version selecting MAINT -> DIAG -> METER from the main menu.

    Note that if you are upgrading a meter that has firmware older than v10.410 and you are adding a remote display, the firmware download must use the built-in communication port (2-wire RS485).

EGX300 Firmware & Disk Image Update

 

Version 3.800 EGX300 firmware includes the following improvements:

PMCU - Powerlogic Meter Configuration Utility

The PMCU is a stand-alone software package used to set up the onboard configuration of PowerLogic devices. Before you begin, download and view the video files; they illustrate how PMCU is used to create a system, add devices, and establish communications. 

NOTE: The PMCU will not install on a computer that has any version of System Manager Software (SMS) or GFX installed. Refer to PMCU Install Notes (see step 1, below) for information regarding installation and system requirements.

EGX100 Firmware

Use the links below to transfer the latest EGX100 firmware to your Computer. Note: Communication to serial devices through the EGX100 during firmware updates is not available. Communications should be restored automatically in most PowerLogic Systems. 

EGX100 -- The version 2.7 firmware update includes auto negotiation improvements, allows for support of the Schneider Electric branding initiative, and the ability to communicate with ModbusTCP/IP protocol over nonstandard MTU sized Ethernet networks. 

To properly update your EGX100: 

1. Transfer the version 2.7 firmware file (eg02700.bin) to your Computer. 

2. Use FTP to copy the "eg02700.bin" file from your Computer to the EGX100 (once the file transfer is complete, the EGX will automatically reboot). Refer to the EGX100 Users Guide if you need more information. 

3. Allow the EGX100 to reboot after the file transfer and browse the EGX100 to confirm v2.7 is displayed.


SMS Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

  • Data Execution Prevention - "Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a new Microsoft technology designed to prevent malicious code from running on a computer system. It can be enforced by software and/or hardware. When DEP is enabled/installed, you may not be able to install this version of Advanced Reports. Software DEP is currently available on these Windows operating systems: XP Professional, SP2; Server 2003, SP1; Server 2003 R2 (subject to change as Microsoft releases new products). Hardware DEP is either enabled or disabled. To detect the DEP levels that are on your computer, you can download and run the WMIC Tool batch file, located below. When you run this batch file, it generates a list of hardware and software DEP settings for your computer. "

    To support new firmware features, download the ION Enterprise software updater. These updater files are compatible with ION Enterprise and Pegasys. They may also correct known diagram or template issues. If an update isn't listed for your firmware version, it wasn't necessary and you should select the most recent version for your meter type. Remember that upgrader files must be applied to all machines in your ION Enterprise network, including all primary, secondary and client machines, for the upgrades to be effective.

Install Wizard Updates (new): ION 7650 / ION 7550 V310 - V330 (Feb 2007) What is the Updater program? When versions of ION Enterprise are released, they support Power Measurement meters only up to the date of release. In order for our software to correctly recognize new firmware versions on the meters, the Updater program was created. These files are designed to install the components necessary to support the new firmware releases for ION meters.
