SMS - 2007 Daylight Saving Time
Schneider Electric has a solution for your PowerLogic ION or SMS system in regards to the new 2007 Daylight Saving Time change. To support these changes in PowerLogic SMS systems, we have created a document that outlines the impact of the DST change on meters and power monitoring software and describes procedures for updating to the new DST schedule in our products and in Microsoft Windows software.
- 2007 DST for AR - The Application Fact Sheet in PDF form below entitled "SMS DST 2007 Fact Sheet" contains the approved proceedure to install a software patch that will correct the date/time resolution on data logged after DST has taken effect.
SMS Dual Microsoft Access Usage Notes
The file below contains instructions for installing and using multiple Microsoft Access versions on one computer. Follow the guidelines in the document for using multiple Microsoft Access version files.
SMS SQL 2000 SP3 Instructions
The files below contain instructions for installing SQL 2000 SP3 to an SMS Server. Download the file and and run to unzip the files the the c: empSMS_SP3(Slammer). Then follow the instructions in the document "Applying the Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 SP3 to SMS".
PowerView software
Update for PowerLogic PowerView v1.0 - ENGLISH ONLY A software patch is available for PowerView Version 1.0. This patch provides unsigned power factor support for the current PM710. The current PM7 driver provides power factor support for the PM750 only.
SMS Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
- Data Execution Prevention - "Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a new Microsoft technology designed to prevent malicious code from running on a computer system. It can be enforced by software and/or hardware. When DEP is enabled/installed, you may not be able to install this version of Advanced Reports. Software DEP is currently available on these Windows operating systems: XP Professional, SP2; Server 2003, SP1; Server 2003 R2 (subject to change as Microsoft releases new products). Hardware DEP is either enabled or disabled. To detect the DEP levels that are on your computer, you can download and run the WMIC Tool batch file, located below. When you run this batch file, it generates a list of hardware and software DEP settings for your computer. "

- ION E 6.0 SP1 - June 2010 IMPORTANT: You must have ION Enterprise 6.0 already installed on your machine before attempting to install Service Pack 1 (SP1).
Note on Service Packs: ION Enterprise Service Packs must be applied to all machines in your ION Enterprise network, including all primary, secondary, client machines, and database servers, for the improvements to be effective.

- ION Device Support in ION Enterprise -
To support new firmware features, download the ION Enterprise software updater. These updater files are compatible with ION Enterprise and Pegasys. They may also correct known diagram or template issues. If an update isn't listed for your firmware version, it wasn't necessary and you should select the most recent version for your meter type. Remember that upgrader files must be applied to all machines in your ION Enterprise network, including all primary, secondary and client machines, for the upgrades to be effective.

- ION E V5.5 FW Support - This update provides support for new device types and firmware features. It may also correct known diagram or template issues. Install Wizard Updates (new): ION 7650 / ION 7550 V310 - V330 (Feb 2007) What is the Updater program? When versions of ION Enterprise are released, they support Power Measurement meters only up to the date of release. In order for our software to correctly recognize new firmware versions on the meters, the Updater program was created. These files are designed to install the components necessary to support the new firmware releases for ION meters.
