SMS - 2007 Daylight Saving Time
Schneider Electric has a solution for your PowerLogic ION or SMS system in regards to the new 2007 Daylight Saving Time change. To support these changes in PowerLogic SMS systems, we have created a document that outlines the impact of the DST change on meters and power monitoring software and describes procedures for updating to the new DST schedule in our products and in Microsoft Windows software.
- 2007 DST for AR - The Application Fact Sheet in PDF form below entitled "SMS DST 2007 Fact Sheet" contains the approved proceedure to install a software patch that will correct the date/time resolution on data logged after DST has taken effect.
SMS Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
- Data Execution Prevention - "Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a new Microsoft technology designed to prevent malicious code from running on a computer system. It can be enforced by software and/or hardware. When DEP is enabled/installed, you may not be able to install this version of Advanced Reports. Software DEP is currently available on these Windows operating systems: XP Professional, SP2; Server 2003, SP1; Server 2003 R2 (subject to change as Microsoft releases new products). Hardware DEP is either enabled or disabled. To detect the DEP levels that are on your computer, you can download and run the WMIC Tool batch file, located below. When you run this batch file, it generates a list of hardware and software DEP settings for your computer. "

SMS SQL 2000 SP3 Instructions
The files below contain instructions for installing SQL 2000 SP3 to an SMS Server. Download the file and and run to unzip the files the the c: empSMS_SP3(Slammer). Then follow the instructions in the document "Applying the Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 SP3 to SMS".

Select the SMS version to update from the list below. Please see the SMS v4 System Requirements Addendum document below concerning important information about the installation of SMS on non-server operating systems (such as Windows XP).
