SQUARE D® POWERLOGIC® PRODUCTS RECEIVE AWARDS IN PLANT ENGINEERING PRODUCT OF THE YEAR CONTEST
January 22, 2008

Schneider Electric announces that two of its Square D® PowerLogic® products have won awards in Plant Engineering magazine's 2007 Product of the Year contest. The products, PowerLogic PowerView Power Management Software and the PowerLogic® PM750 Power Meter, were voted by readers of the magazine as silver and bronze award winners.

The recipient of a silver award in the Productivity Software category, PowerView Power Management Software is an easy-to-use, entry-level power monitoring solution ideally suited for small system applications to track real-time power conditions, optimize equipment use and performs remote monitoring of electrical equipment at key distribution points across electrical networks and cut power-related costs. PowerView power management software simplifies system and device configuration by polling user networks and automatically logging data.

An ideal replacement for analog meters, the PowerLogic PM750 Power Meter received a bronze award in the Electrical Power category. The PM750 can be used for stand-alone metering in custom panels, switchboards, switchgear, gensets, motor control centers and UPS systems. Ideal for panel builders and OEMs, the PM750 meter is easily mounted without tools (just two clips). Complete with power, demand, energy, power factor and frequency measurements, the PM750 meter is available in a variety of configurations and produces high accuracy measurements that can be used for bill verification, monitoring back-up power for critical systems and cost-effective energy management solutions.

Plant Engineering's 2007 Product of the Year contest was open to any new, plant engineering-related product introduced between October 1, 2006, and September 30, 2007. Finalists, who were chosen by a panel of industry experts, were ultimately voted on by publication readers to determine contest winners. Gold, silver and bronze winners were announced in each of 16 categories, plus a grand award winner.
