Jackie Shay, Micro Typing Systems director of facilities and projects for Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics commissioned an arc-flash analysis study by Schneider Electric's Square D Services and  installed power monitoring equipment.  The article describes the steps this medical supply maker took to ensure safety via full code compliance. "It was a good investment," Shay says. "We love the ability to trend our incoming power, and we now have protective equipment that provides the optimal level of safety and brings our contractor into compliance when they are on-site."

SQUARE D® SEPAM Digital Relay Series
Sepam Digital Relay Series
Schneider Electric introduces its new Square D® SEPAM (Square D Electrical Protection and Monitoring) digital relay product line. Comprising the new Sepam line is the Series 80 relay for critical sources and loads; the Series 40 relay for important sources and loads; and the Series 20 relay for more basic source and load requirements. All of the Sepam models comply with ANSI standards and use ANSI symbols. Sepam relays are ideally suited for the most commonly encountered applications in utility substations and industrial and large commercial environments at low, medium and high voltage levels.

PowerLogic® PowerViewTM Power Management Software for Power Meters
PowerView Software
Equipped with numerous features for out-of-the-box usability, you can install, automatically detect connected PowerLogic power meters and begin to monitor in less than an hour. PowerView software includes pre-configured real-time and historical data displays, automatic logging configuration for power consumption monitoring and a simple six step report generation leveraging the rich feature set of Microsoft Excel. This new software supports up to 32 devices, including PowerLogic power meters and High Density Metering.

Series 800 Power Meter Firmware includes support for additional system types 32 and 44 enhanced voltage deadband and  frequency measurement compliance with 61557-12 standard.
